unplugged:OK is an alliance of parents, caregivers, teachers, and community members with a shared commitment to the health & wellbeing of children and teens. Through community building, education and collective action, we seek to change the current norms around how youth today experience life related to smartphone, social media, and all digital technology use.
We support meaningful youth connection, by saying "yes" to waiting on smartphones and social media and by enabling more unsupervised play and childhood independence.
We advocate for state legislation and school policies that are pro-learning and distraction-free.
We welcome invlovmenet from all caring Oklahomans who support more intentional approaches to the way digital technology is used at home and in school.
